Leonardo Marchesi studied Science of Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, earning his Bachelor’s degree in 2012, and completed a Master’s in Architecture at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. Practiced under renowned Architects including Aires Mateus, João Luís Carrilho da Graça, David Chipperfield, José Adrião, and Mark Stevens, in both Lisbon and London.
After contributing to diverse projects and gaining valuable international Architecture training experience, Leonardo decided to found his practice in 2021 in Ericeira, Portugal; with now projects spanning between Portugal, Europe and more broadly the Middle East, and Southeast Asia the studio has at the core of the practice the search for extraordinary spatial experiences — gentle but firm gestures in the landscape with a sense of timelessness. Among the projects that brought early recognition to the practice are the House in Colares (Portugal), the House in Luxor (Egypt), and the Pier House in Langkawi (Malaysia), along with residential schemes in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
